Each year, The Reykjavík Grapevine publishes a special issue in which experts select the very best that the city has to offer. Skálda first received this recognition last year, after only four months in operation, and it was recently announced that Skálda was named Best Bookstore in Reykjavík for the second year in a row.
This is a great honor for a small, independent bookstore and a meaningful affirmation that passion, care, and a personal approach truly matter. The recognition also encourages us to continue curating high-quality literature, supporting authors and publishers, and fostering a warm, welcoming space for the community of book lovers.
