Indverska skáldið Biswamit Dwibedy heldur útgáfufögnuð í Skáldu fyrir nýjustu ljóðabók sína ERODE sem Litmus Press gaf nýverið út í Bandaríkjunum. Biswamit hefur áður komið fram á Íslandi, en hann er búsettur í París þar sem hann stýrir ritlistarnámi við The American University of Paris. Biswamit verður einnig með vinnustofu á Sequences listahátíðinni í ár.

Biswamit Dwibedy fæddist í Odisha á Indlandi en býr nú í París. Hann bjó í Iowa City í nokkur ár og er með MFA-gráðu frá Bard College í New York fylki. Hann hefur gefið út bækurnar Ancient Guest (HarperCollins India), Erode (Litmus Press), Ozalid (1913 Press), Hubble Gardener (Spuyten Duyvil), og smáritin Eirik’s Ocean (Portable Press), MC3 (Essay Press) og Film of Dust (Sputnik & Fizzle). Æviminningar Biswamits, Hundred Greatest Love Songs, voru gefnar út nú í september á vegum Penguin Random House.
Ljóð Biswamits hafa m.a. birst í Poetry Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Tarpaulin Sky og Best American Experimental Poetry. Hann hefur þýtt úr hindí og orija-máli og ljóð hans hafa verið þýdd á frönsku. Biswamit er einnig myndlistamaður og hefur verið gestalistamaður í Frakklandi, Indlandi og Íslandi. Nú um stundir stýrir hann ritlistarnámi í The American University of Paris.

The Indian poet Biswamit Dwibedy will celebrate the launch of his latest poetry collection, ERODE, at Skálda bookstore. The book was recently published in the United States by Litmus Press. Biswamit has previously performed poetry readings in Iceland, and he is currently based in Paris, where he co-directs the MFA in creative writing at The American University of Paris. Biswamit will also host a workshop at the Sequences Art Festival this year.

Biswamit Dwibedy was born in Odisha, India and now lives in Paris, France. He lived in Iowa City, Iowa for several years and has an MFA from Bard College, New York. He is the author of Ancient Guest (HarperCollins India), Erode (Litmus Press), Ozalid (1913 Press), Hubble Gardener (Spuyten Duyvil), and the chapbooks Eirik’s Ocean (Portable Press), MC3 (Essay Press) and Film of Dust (Sputnik & Fizzle). His memoir Hundred Greatest Love Songs (Penguin Random House) was just published in September 2025.
Dwibedy’s poems have appeared in Poetry Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Tarpaulin Sky, and Best American Experimental Poetry amongst other places. He translates from Hindi and Oriya, and his poems have been translated into French. Dwibedy is also a visual artist. He’s been an artist-in-residence in France, India, and Iceland, and co-directs the MFA in creative writing at The American University of Paris.
